The New England Patriots and New York Giants each topped defensive juggernauts in their conference championships, dismissing the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, respectively. Now the Patriots and Giants will square off in Indianapolis in Super Bowl XLVI. Wide Right Game Revisited

Super Bowl XXV, commonly called the “Wide Right Game,” pitted the Buffalo Bills against the New York Giants to conclude the 1990 season. The Giants prevailed 20-19 thanks to a missed last-second field goal by Bills kicker Scott Norwood. Barry Larkin to the HoF

Barry Larkin, the former Cincinnati Reds shortstop, is headed to Cooperstown. Chosen on 86 percent of ballots, Larkin's most noteworthy accomplishments include a 1990 World Series Championship and a 1995 MVP award. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on July 22.
